We have had a much less stressful second week with Zach. The big turning point was at the end of his first week when he started regaining weight. We had a pediatrician appointment on Wednesday and a consultation with the lactation nurse on Friday, and we're happy to report that Zach now weighs more than his original birth weight. Here is a chart of his weights over the past 2 weeks:
- August 1st - 7 pounds, 4.6 ounces
- August 2nd - 7 pounds even
- August 3rd - 6 pounds, 11 ounces
- August 4th - 6 pounds, 9 ounces
- August 6th - 6 pounds, 11 ounces
- August 12th - 7 pounds, 3 ounces
- August 14th - 7 pounds, 5.3 ounces
Here are some pictures we've taken over the past week or so:

- Zach's first bath at home, he wasn't a big fan of the bath, so we're going to have to work on some better strategies for next time - http://picasaweb.google.com/astebner/ZachSFirstBath

Thanks for sharing all the pictures and stories. Don't know how you find the time as new parents but I love to see how well everything is going! Congrats!
