This is one of my favorite stories, so I figured I needed to post it somewhere so I can send it to people instead of trying to re-tell it over and over.
Dave, Bob and I went to lunch last winter at Ruby's. It was just after Dave's birthday, so we mentioned to the waitress that it was his birthday and asked if they did anything special for people on their birthday. The waitress said that she would bring Dave a sundae, and then asked him if he liked fudge and would want it on top of the sundae. Without missing a beat, Bob said to her "Look at him. Do you think he likes fudge?"
For some reason, this doesn't sound as funny when I type it out, but Dave and I were dying laughing. To this day, we keep offering Dave fudge with every meal. And when I see things like the Simpsons season premiere a few weeks ago where Homer said "Semper Fudge" it makes me laugh and remember this story all over again.

I do like fudge but I've not been able to eat it since this incident. How can I allow myself such a thing after this.
I dream of fudge. I desire fudge. I hope for fudge but I am not allowed. Never again.
I shall eat fudge no more - forever.
Oh man! What a callous ass. I felt so bad after reading this, I cried.
('cause I was laughing so hard, haha!)
Dave, What can I ever do to make this up to you?
...can I buy you some ice cream? Would you like fud....
Oh... sorry.
I'm happy I left. There is nothing in Redmond for me now.
